This app is just what it looks like-a calorie counter. It makes adjustments to a daily allotted calorie count based on one's daily activity and what they want to do with their weight (loss, gain, maintain). If you're looking for something more, perhaps upgrade or find another app. Full Review

It does shut down occasionally, esp when I'm doing Multi-add on foods. Good way to track foods and hold myself accountable. I like this free app. Full Review

I like this app and keeping track of my calories. I wish I could firgure out how to delete foods that have been saved that I no longer eat. Would help make going through the list when I log my foods. Other than that I love it and think it's great in helping me stay accountable. Full Review

Good but it used to be great. I was able for a short time to sync my steps from Samsung Health to the app but now it doesn't sync steps at all and has a "connection to server error". Still good though but I know it can be better Full Review

#iworkoutsoicaneattacos Did you guys do away with the widget??? I used that ALL THE TIME. Still a great app and makes you aware of your intake. The database is incredible. You can find just about everything in here and the scanning option makes it that much better. I lost 15lbs in 8 weeks so far just making better choices, counting calories and still working out. Not eating super clean, but that's the next step. 4

I've gone between MyFitnessPal and weight watchers, but I would recommend MyFitnessPal. The reason being it's free and it offers the same features as weight watchers. Admittedly I've let myself go more than I care to mention, but I can say I've lost the same amount of weight using MyFitnessPal that I have using weight watchers. If you use MyFitnessPal along with a food scale you can't go wrong because MyFitnessPal has feature that let's you record all the ingredients in a recipe and divide up the servings giving the calorie amount for each. This is the best feature and frankly saves me the most money. Full Review

The app is great, BUT: calories quantity that it offers to eat is too small! There is a World Health Organisation's formula that helps to count necessary calories quantity that is safe for the health and really helps to lose weight. I meet a lot of people who use your app and eat 1200 calories per day while they should eat 1700! You shouldn't misinform people :( Full Review

I've been on WW before, was looking into reviews on their new program and I kept seeing great reviews for this app AND it was free! I've been on it for less than 2 weeks and lost 6 lbs already! I love that it is a doable lifestyle change and the "program" doesn't change. I have my whole family on it now and I create recipes that we all share. I can eat the things I'm used to and I am never hungry. I LOVE IT! Full Review

Good app - could use a visual update but works good functionally. Some food items aren't correct (with no option to change), and sometimes has too many options, but a lot of data is accurate. Could use some workout tracking improvements. A good app overall and tracks more info than some other apps do. Full Review

I TOTALLY LOVE THIS APP!!! It's easy to use, the database is AMAZING. I can not only search by food but even pull up the map and there is a good chance the restaurant I'm at is in there! It's making my fitness journey so much easier. BEST yet is that it links with Map My Walk and the calories I burn working out are reported to it! What more can I say???!!! I HIGHLY RWECOMMEND THIS APP!! UPDATE 03-18-18 STILL LOVE THIS APP! I USE IT DAILY. Still fantastic! I love the blog and all the info the free version supplies. This IS your app. Forget the rest!! I lost 65 pounds using this app alone! Its simple math - eat less and you will lose weight. Exercise will take it off faster but it's not required. I love that all my information is on my phone. It's free - no weird foods, no meetings, no regimens. Eat whatever you want - when you run out of calories - stop! This is the thinnest I've ever been in my life, including when I was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. Thank you My Fitness Pal!

Not accurate. 6 oz of chicken breast is 19 grams of protein? I don't think so. The amounts it gives with each food log don't equal what it shows when I look at macros. Options for food measurements aren't always good. App isn't terrible but would be much better if it was more accurate. Too many variations in food. This chicken breast has this much fat, protein and calories but another one has different amounts. How do I know what is accurate? I eat fat free cottage cheese but when I enter it then look at macros now it says I've eaten fat. Full Review

This app is only good for those interested in counting calories, carbs, etc. Some of us care far more about nutrients, which MyFitnessPal barely tracks. With the exception of vitamins A and C, iron, and calcium, MFP doesn't track ANY other micronutrients/minerals. This is shocking considering the USDA food database has all this information. Not for people who want balance and nutrient-rich diets. Full Review

Great app to track calories and make sure you you're following your caloric limit. Also the food bank is amazing. You can either type it and look for it, or just scan the barcode. It will open your eyes knowing how many calories you have been consuming before you actually kept track of them. No wonder it's so easy to gain weight Full Review

I use MFP as a basic tool to support my weight loss goals. It's quick and easy to use for tracking calorie intake, has a very extensive food database, almost always recognizes the barcode, even on local products, and syncs well with the Fitbit app. Makes being more mindful of what you're taking in with consideration of what you put out more of a manageable task throughout a busy day. It works great to track your food intake... But otherwise their "Plan" is WAY WAY to spendy for how little you get. If all you want it to tack what yoy ate, then this is for you, if you want to keep track of all your intakes, sugar, carbs, fats, you gotta pay up. Even just making the weight goals system better would help. But other wise I'm giving a nope for it not being dope. Full Review

This is one of the best calory tracker out there with the best data base I know. I lost 15kg in 4 months using it with Garmin Vivofit 3 but... Samsung SHealth doesn't work properely with this application. I can't use my Frontier S3 as activity tracker! With Garmin Vivofit 3 it works pretty well, but not with S3. Guys do something or I should assume you are working against Samsung. Full Review

This is the best app I've found for tracking both food intake and exercise. The database is off-the-charts comprehensive and has pretty much anything I consume. I also like that I can enter my own recipes or just quick-enter calories. There are so many options for entering info that the only excuse for not doing so is that I don't want to admit what I actually ate. Full Review

Excellent for weight GAIN! I have a separate app to help me with meals, but this will also point out what my daily intake of sugar ect should be for my hight and weight. It's basically helping me maintain a ballanced diet but also I have to hit a calorie target to gain weight. Highly recommended for the very few like me who want to Gain lol although reviews are great for weight loss too! Full Review

Great app to easily track what you are eating. I just wish that there was some sort of copy and paste feature, or maybe the ability to check multiple food items at once when you adding in what you have eaten each day. Right now, it's a lot of back and forth between two screens to enter food items. Still it is much better than recording/tracking everything by hand! Full Review

Good app that's been super helpful to track weight and food, however the app often seems to have bugs! For instance mine had stopped sending me push notifications despite them being on both in the app and on my phone - just decided to stop one day. Would also be great to sort out the autocorrect on the app and the snap back scrolling. Full Review

The app is good for the most part but recently I haven't been able to sync my dates from S Health with the step counter on the app. I just get an error message every time I try to connect it and if it does connect the steps just stay at zero. I've been logging them manually in the meantime and hoped this latest update would have fixed that error but it's still happening. It would be great if not for all the bugs in the app which never seem to get fixed. It has helped me lose nearly a stone since January though so it seems to be effective at keeping me on track! This app has come a long way since the last time I used it, about 4 years ago. I really appreciate the barcode scanner, it makes tracking so much easier instead of having to take the time to type in all the nutritional values manually. Great recipe suggestions, log reminders and motivation to keep you on track. This is definitely more than just a calorie counter app now! Full Review

I LOVE this app! It helped me be conscious of what i was putting into my body, and motivated me to change and adjust my diet. Every day that i put in what my intake + calorie burn was for the day, it inspired me to want to burn more the next day! I started using this app to help me lose weight and it works! It also helps me monitor my macronutrient intake which is helpful when trying to maintain a healthy body. I love the simplicity and ease of using this app! The suggestions from the articles are great in helping you understand more about your body and health. This app is amazing. The food diary is great and super easy to use. It even adjusts uour caloric allowance for the day according to your workouts. The recipes for meals are incredible. I even got my husband to eat vegetables with his dinner last night and he hates them like he's a 5 year old. Lol. Great app! Full Review

I very rarely can't find the food I want to add. And the calorie count is accurate. Biggest challenge for the app is restaurant menus. Edit: I reached my weight goal by consistently using this app. The advice I've been giving people is to use it everyday even if they can't be 100% accurate or have already missed their goal. This has helped me loads, I would highly recommend it. It's easy to use and runs smoothly. The only thing I'd like to see is for it to link up to Samsung S Health, as this is where I track my exercise. But it's not a big issue as I just added the Google one and link it to that instead. Full Review

It is great for tracking meals and water. Occasionally there are some foods that don't have accurate nutritional and calorie information. Majority of the time there are others that are right though. Some of the measurements get confusing. When it would be more appropriate to use oz they use grams. Just little stuff but if what you're making it eating has a barcode it is super easy to add accurately. Full Review

Love this app so simple and easy to use. Altho for some reason I cannot see my girlfriends wall or post on it at all. It says private. Her diary is available tho. She had an iPhone. My sister, iPhone, also had this problem with her "permissions" I can't seem to figure out why it's still private. Searched through all settings. Help would be nice! Only complaint Full Review

I like this app because it has a barcode scanner, it makes it so easy to add food. And you can search your history on food & add multiple foods at the same time. The only think that I'm having a problem with the app won't Sync with my Fitbit Flex 2. Full Review

The barcode scanner makes diet entries easy. I did find one barcode that didn't match the nutrition facts that were printed, not sure if it was the app or the Quaker Oatmeal box that was at fault. We cook a lot and entering a recipe makes single serving and leftovers easier to log. The three times I tried to use the restaurant menu lookup, no menu was available. These were not national chains though. Full Review

Love this app. Can keep an eye on what cals I'm eatting, even when I'm out, & can log any exercise I do. A must for anyone dieting. (It's now 2016, 2-3 yrs after writing the first bit of this review, & I'm still using this ap along with Map My Walk. They work really well together & would highly recommend both.

Very good app. Useful that it makes graphs out of daily calories and tells you how much more you can eat while staying below target. Any food I've typed in has been there (although calories recorded very so check yourself). Only thing is I would like to be able to zoom out entirely on the graph so I can see an overall trend since I got the app Full Review

Awesome app! I use it every day. It makes it extremely easy to track calories consumed, protein, carbs and fat intake, as well as nutrients. It also shows percentages of each, etc. Can also sync with other apps to incluse activities for an estimate of calories burned for a close estimate of daily progress toward goals.
